Muhittin Böcek faces investigation over prostitution and employment allegations

A major investigation led by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has uncovered serious allegations involving former Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek. The probe, which includes charges of facilitating prostitution and drug-related offenses, has entered its third wave of operations with simultaneous raids in Antalya and Istanbul, resulting in the detention of seven suspects.

Victim statements included in the case file allege that eleven young women were coerced into sexual acts with Böcek under the promise of securing employment within the municipality. Investigators noted that many of these women were subsequently hired by municipal subsidiaries. The case file also contains further allegations of group sexual encounters and sexual relations involving minors.

Following the findings, the Ministry of Interior ordered the removal of Muhittin Böcek from his mayoral duties, and he is currently in custody as the judicial process continues.
