Bayreuth launches health campaign focused on cancer prevention

The city of Bayreuth is launching the Health Action Weeks from September to November, focusing on cancer prevention under the motto “Prevention that strengthens. Knowledge that protects.” The initiative aims to provide practical, everyday guidance on reducing personal cancer risks through lifestyle choices.

A central feature of the program is the interactive traveling exhibition, “Step by Step through Cancer Prevention,” which will be hosted at the RW21 City Library in Bayreuth from September 29 to November 14. The exhibition covers topics such as physical activity, nutrition, smoking cessation, UV protection, vaccinations, and regular screenings.

In addition to the exhibition, the program includes lectures, workshops, and counseling sessions involving partners from the healthcare, sports, and scientific sectors. These activities are designed for all generations to encourage proactive health decisions and lifestyle changes.
