Bayreuth vocational school new building delayed

The new building for the Staatliche Berufsschule I in Bayreuth will not be ready for the start of the school year on September 15. According to a press release from the city of Bayreuth, the move has been delayed due to outstanding construction work, pending inspections, and missing documentation from participating construction firms.

Until the move can be completed, students will continue to attend classes via distance learning or use temporary containers located on the school grounds. The total investment for the new vocational school campus is approximately 130 million euros. While the first phase involving the main building is facing these delays, the entire project is currently slated for completion in 2029.
