Baywatch reboot trailer reveals 2027 premiere details

FOX and Fremantle have released the first trailer for the Baywatch reboot, scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The series will be available on Prime Video in Europe.

Starring Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, the show follows the son of the original series' legendary lifeguard Mitch Buchannon. The plot centers on Hobie as he leads the rescue team and navigates unexpected family tensions when his biological daughter, Charlie (played by Jessica Belkin), arrives from Texas seeking work as a lifeguard.

The trailer features high-action sequences, including a plane crash in the ocean. The new ensemble cast includes Hassie Harrison, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, Livvy Dunne, Brooks Nader, and Thaddeus LaGrone, with guest appearances by Megan Thee Stallion. Several original cast members, including David Chokachi, Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin, and Kelly Packard, are set to return for guest roles.
