Baznas denies using ZIS funds for ‘Islam Ala Prabowo’ book

The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia has clarified that zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) funds were not used for the production or publication of the book ‘Islam Ala Prabowo’.

Baznas Chairman Sodik Mudjahid stated that the agency's involvement in the book's 2025 launch is strictly within the context of institutional relations and religious literacy. He emphasized that the book was neither written nor published by a Baznas team. Mudjahid noted that the agency's presence at the launch is part of institutional synergy with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), rather than participation in practical politics.

Additionally, Mudjahid mentioned that President Prabowo Subianto has provided significant personal support to Baznas, including personal donations of zakat, infaq, and alms, which the agency is currently allocating toward flagship programs for the Indonesian people.
