BAZNAS launches educational aid programs for students and madrasahs

The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) has initiated several aid programs aimed at supporting Islamic education in Indonesia. In Bekasi Regency, BAZNAS distributed assistance to 500 students specializing in Quranic memorization to motivate their studies and support human resource development based on religious values.

On a national level, BAZNAS RI has opened registration for the 2026 Madrasah Layak Belajar (MLB) program. This initiative provides stimulus funding of Rp25 million to each of the 700 targeted private madrasahs to renovate classrooms. The 2026 program expands its scope to include both Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta (MIS) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta (MTsS) across Indonesia, addressing high rates of classroom damage reported in national data.
