BAZNAS recognizes corporate zakat contributions and vocational training success

The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) has highlighted successful economic empowerment initiatives and corporate contributions to the national zakat ecosystem.

In Kendal, Central Java, a collaboration between BAZNAS and Ruang Amal Indonesia through the 'Amal Vokasi' program has successfully improved employment access. A garment and clothing sewing training program held in August 2026 resulted in 47 out of 50 participants securing employment or starting businesses. Notably, 90 percent of participants found work within the Kendal Industrial Zone.

Additionally, PT Semen Padang was honored at the Grand BAZNAS Awards 2026 in Jakarta, receiving the award for Best State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Zakat Collector. The award recognizes the company's role in supporting zakat management to enhance community welfare. The ceremony was part of the BAZNAS 2026 National Coordination Meeting, aimed at strengthening the national zakat ecosystem and encouraging cross-sector collaboration.
