B&B Hotels opens largest group property in Venice

B&B Hotels has inaugurated the B&B Hotel Venezia Laguna on the Tronchetto island, marking the largest hotel in the group's Italian and global portfolio. The complex features 406 rooms distributed across two buildings and covers a total surface area of 15,576 square meters.

Developed in partnership with Batipart Europe and the Lagune Pasithea Fund managed by Blue SGR, the project is part of a redevelopment initiative for the Tronchetto island promoted by the Municipality of Venice. The construction was completed in two and a half years using sustainable XLAM prefabricated wood panel systems and pre-assembled bathrooms to increase efficiency.

The facility emphasizes sustainability with a 223.50 kWp photovoltaic system designed to power nearly all energy consumption. The interior design utilizes a contemporary aesthetic that incorporates local Venetian elements, such as colors inspired by the lagoon, terracotta tones, and textures reflecting the city's historic architecture. The hotel includes three dining options: Al Piron, Al Bistrò, and the Nova Sunset Bar & Restaurant located on a rooftop terrace with lagoon views.
