BBC begins search for United Kingdom Eurovision 2027 representative

The BBC and BBC Studios have officially launched the search for the artist and song that will represent the United Kingdom at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest in Burgas, Bulgaria. The selection process aims to showcase contemporary British music by collaborating with music labels, publishers, and the independent sector.

UK Eurovision Project Director David May, who managed 2022 runner-up Sam Ryder, is leading the search alongside Executive Producer and Head of Delegation Andrew Cartmell. The team is working across various BBC departments, including BBC Music and BBC Introducing, to identify talent with proven live performance experience and high-quality songwriting.

The chosen entry will be announced before the European Broadcasting Union’s submission deadline in March 2027.
