BBC Books Announces New Doctor Who Novels Based on Terrance Dicks Treatments

BBC Books revealed that two new Doctor Who novels will be published in 2027, both derived from unpublished Terrance Dicks material. "The Six Doctors," a novelisation by Simon Guerrier, will appear in January and expands on Dicks' original concept for the classic "The Five Doctors" story. "The Vampire Mutation," adapted by Steve Cole and scheduled for March, brings to light a cancelled 1977 season script that involved a cosmic Time Key and a vampire‑like threat.

The announcement follows earlier coverage of BBC Books' Past Doctor Adventures line, which began in 1997 and revisited earlier Doctor Who eras. The new titles continue the publisher's effort to revive and expand classic Doctor Who narratives for contemporary readers.
