BBC develops inclusive dating show for YouTube

The BBC is reportedly developing a new dating show aimed at 18 to 26-year-olds that will include contestants of all genders and sexual orientations. Produced by Strong Watch Studios, the program is expected to be released on the BBC’s YouTube channel rather than through traditional broadcast slots, with filming slated to begin in London in early November.

This development follows a period of programming shifts at the broadcaster. The BBC recently confirmed that ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ will move from the network to WOW Presents Plus after the current season. Additionally, the broadcaster previously ended LGBTQ+ dating formats hosted by Dannii Minogue, such as ‘I Kissed A Boy’ and ‘I Kissed A Girl,’ citing funding challenges and the need to make difficult financial decisions.
