BBC One drama ‘Time’ confirms third series release date

The third series of the BAFTA-winning prison drama ‘Time’ is set to premiere on BBC One. Written by Jimmy McGovern and Samuel Bailey, the new installment focuses on a Young Offenders Institution (YOI).

Returning stars David Tennant and Siobhan Finneran lead the cast. Finneran reprises her role as chaplain Marie-Louise O’Dell, who is struggling with a loss of faith, while Tennant returns as custodial manager Bobby Bailey. The plot follows a tragedy within the prison that leads to a clash between the chaplain and the veteran officer.

The series also explores the experiences of two teenage offenders, Peter and James, as they navigate their incarceration and an unlikely friendship. The new season is scheduled to begin airing in October.
