BBC Radio 2 announces presenter changes for breakfast and drivetime slots

BBC Radio 2 is undergoing presenter shifts following Sara Cox’s move to the station’s flagship breakfast show. Cox, who previously hosted Radio 1’s breakfast slot, described the new role as a ‘coming-home gig’ and noted the joy of connecting with listeners.

To fill the vacancy left by Cox in the Drivetime slot, the BBC has appointed Angela Scanlon. The Irish presenter and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant will host the weekday program from 4pm to 7pm starting in November. Scanlon, who has previously hosted Sunday mornings on the station, expressed excitement about joining a lineup that includes presenters such as Trevor Nelson and Jo Whiley.
