BBC Radio Devon honors animal welfare and therapy award finalists

The BBC Radio Devon Make A Difference Animal Award is recognizing finalists who have significantly impacted human lives or animal welfare.

Finalists include Jet, a cocker spaniel and detection dog who works with Pets as Therapy to support students at Exeter College by reducing stress and increasing well-being. Ridley, a former guide dog, is receiving a posthumous recognition for his service. Additionally, Thunderball, an alpaca known for its affinity for people, and volunteers at the Shaldon Wildlife Trust who care for lemurs and meerkats are being honored for their contributions to their communities and species conservation.
