BBC Studios and Polsat sign major content deal

BBC Studios and Polsat have entered into a major content agreement ahead of MIPCOM 2026, marking the largest content sales package BBC Studios has ever concluded in the Polish market. The deal includes over 200 hours of diverse programming across drama, factual, and entertainment genres for Polsat’s Free TV and Basic TV channel portfolios.

Viewers will gain access to various British productions, including early seasons of popular crime dramas such as ‘Death in Paradise’ and ‘Father Brown’. The agreement also features a selection of natural history and documentary content, including titles featuring David Attenborough.

Additionally, BBC Studios Global Productions has renewed its agreement with Polsat regarding the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ format, ensuring Polsat retains the rights to produce the Polish edition of the entertainment show. While the back catalogue will be available on Polsat channels, new seasons of major drama titles will continue to premiere on the BBC First channel.
