BBC Studios’ ‘Wild Kingdom’ to premiere on Discovery and HBO Max

BBC Studios' new natural history series, ‘Wild Kingdom’, is set to premiere on August 27 on Discovery and HBO Max. The six-episode production focuses on the ecosystems of Nsefu, located within Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.

The series follows the lives of four large predators—Storm, Rita, Olimba, and Tenta—as they navigate the challenges of territory defense, food acquisition, and raising their families in a highly competitive environment. The production involved five years of filming, totaling approximately 1,400 days of fieldwork, marking the longest period the BBC Studios Natural History Unit has documented a single location for one story.
