BBC thriller Nightsleeper returns for second season

The BBC thriller Nightsleeper is returning for a second season, shifting its setting from a railway line to a passenger ferry traveling between Belfast and Liverpool. The new six-part series will focus on a potentially deadly hack-attack targeting the vessel.

Colin Morgan will lead the new cast as Stephen ‘Bo’ Bowen, a technical director for the National Cyber Security Centre. He is joined by Madeleine Mantock and Christian Cooke. The production also features returning actors Parth Thakerar, Jonjo O’Neill, and Micah Balfour, alongside new cast members including Sally Lindsay and Rupert Penry-Jones.

The plot follows the ferry's second engineer, Johnny, as he works with Bo to combat the cyber threat while the crew attempts to hide the danger from passengers.
