BBC Wales presenters Derek Brockway and Roy Noble to depart
Two long-serving broadcasters are set to depart from BBC Wales. Derek Brockway, widely known as ‘Derek the Weather’, will leave the broadcaster at the end of the year after nearly 30 years of service. Brockway, who began his first Wales Today forecast in 1997, is well known for his work on the series ‘Weatherman Walking’ and for covering major weather events such as the Beast from the East and Storm Dennis.
Additionally, Radio Wales presenter Roy Noble has announced he will step down from his Sunday programme in March next year. Noble has been a fixture on the station since the 1980s, marking over four decades of broadcasting with the BBC.
