Filming for the BBC's detective series Beyond Paradise is under way in the coastal town of Looe, Cornwall. The town serves as the real‑world stand‑in for the fictional ship‑town Shipton Abbott as production ramps up for the fifth season that will air after the summer tourist period.

Actor Kris Marshall, who plays Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman, was seen on set along with a large crew. The use of West Country locations such as Looe and nearby Saltash has been credited with boosting the local economy and raising the area’s profile as a filming destination. A broadcast date has not yet been confirmed, but the series is expected to return in 2027.
