BBVA provides 10 million euros to BizAway for European expansion

BBVA has provided 10 million euros in financing to BizAway to facilitate its acquisition of the Dutch company Uniglobe Alliance Travel. This strategic move is intended to strengthen BizAway's presence in Northern Europe and expand its client base within the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg).

The financing is supported by the European Union and the European Investment Fund (EIF) through the InvestEU program. BizAway, which was founded in 2015 across Italy and Spain, currently serves over 2,000 companies across Europe and the Middle East using a centralized technological platform for corporate travel management.

By incorporating Uniglobe Alliance Travel, a specialist in corporate travel with a strong Dutch presence, BizAway aims to advance its strategy of combining organic growth with strategic acquisitions to become a leading partner for business travel in Europe.
