BBVA reorganizes investment banking division to accelerate corporate business
BBVA has restructured its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division to accelerate its corporate business. The bank announced four internal promotions and expanded the responsibilities of a fifth executive.
These changes follow a major review of the bank's management committee in late July. The CIB division is a significant profit driver for the group, reporting earnings of 2,054 million euros in the first half of the year, an increase of nearly 21% compared to the same period last year. The reorganization aims to maintain commercial momentum and strengthen the division's structure for future growth.
