BC Conservatives and NDP in tight election race
Recent polling indicates a highly competitive race between the BC Conservatives and the BC NDP three weeks before the British Columbia provincial election. Data suggests a two-party contest, with other parties like the BC Greens, CentreBC, and OneBC receiving only marginal support.
An online poll by the Innovative Research Group found 41 per cent support for the NDP compared to 39 per cent for the Conservatives. While the poll noted that 57 per cent of respondents believe it is time for a change in the province, 52 per cent of those surveyed expressed concerns regarding the Conservatives' readiness to govern due to internal party turmoil.
In contrast, a Leger poll showed the Conservatives leading the NDP by three percentage points, with 39 per cent support among decided voters. The Leger data also highlighted significant dissatisfaction with the current direction of the province, with 58 per cent of respondents stating British Columbia is on the wrong track.
