The BC Lions beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 35‑19 at Princess Auto Stadium on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Rookie quarterback Kaidon Salter made his first CFL start, rushing for 160 yards and adding a passing touchdown. Running back Zander Horvath rushed for 191 yards and scored three touchdowns, setting a new single‑game rushing record for the Lions. The team amassed a CFL‑record 377 rushing yards. Winnipeg quarterback Dru Brown, playing in place of the injured Zach Collaros, threw for 180 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game with an injury late in the fourth quarter. Kicker Sean Whyte contributed two field goals for the Lions, while Winnipeg’s Sergio Castillo made four. The win gave the Lions their second victory of the season and dropped the Bombers to 1‑4 at home.
