B.C. Lions host Saskatchewan Roughriders in vital West Division matchup

The B.C. Lions (7-6) will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-5) in a critical West Division matchup that carries significant playoff implications. A victory for the Roughriders could secure them a post-season berth, provided they receive assistance from other game results. Conversely, a win for the Lions would grant them the tiebreaker in the highly competitive division, where the second and fifth-place teams are separated by only four points.

The Roughriders receive a boost with the return of key offensive starters Kian Schaffer-Baker and A. J. Ouellette from knee injuries. Ouellette, a two-time Grey Cup champion, and Schaffer-Baker, who ranks in the top 20 for receiving yards, are expected to bolster the Saskatchewan offense.

The Lions enter the game following a strong run, winning six of their last seven contests. Led by quarterback Nathan Rourke, the B.C. offense currently leads the CFL in net yards, rushing, and time of possession. The matchup pits the league's top rushing offense against a Saskatchewan defense that has allowed the fewest offensive touchdowns in the CFL.
