B.C. Mini Enthusiasts Begin Cross‑Canada Tour

Mini enthusiast Nadir Ibadullah, a Cloverdale resident who owns 19 Minis, teamed up with fellow Mini owner Rick Higgs and Higgs’ son Jeremy and grandson Kaden for a cross‑Canada road trip. The quartet set out on August 6 from Mini Langley, heading first to Creston, then to Toronto in “Roo,” an Australian‑built 1973 Mini Window Van that retains its original paint. Jeremy and Kaden travel in a modern Mini while the senior pair drive the classic. In Sudbury the group will split, with the younger Higgs heading to Ottawa before re‑uniting for the return leg. The tour will cover more than 8,900 km per vehicle, showcasing both classic and contemporary Mini models. Mini Langley manager Lucas Bartsch praised the venture, saying, “I’m excited to see a classic like this still on the road.” Nadir added, “We’re keen to explore Canada in this beautiful little Mini.”
