BC NDP retakes lead in provincial polling

Recent polling indicates that the governing British Columbia New Democratic Party (NDP) has retaken the lead in provincial political support. According to a Research Co. survey, 44% of decided voters support the NDP, while support for the BC Conservative Party has dropped to 39%.

Analysts suggest the Conservative Party is experiencing an erosion of support following the leadership of Kerry-Lynne Findlay. The decline is attributed to internal fractures and a perceived shift toward more right-wing policies, which has reportedly alienated moderate voters and led to the departure of high-profile figures like MLA Peter Milobar.

The NDP maintains a lead among women, voters aged 35-54, and those aged 55 and over. Conversely, the Conservatives lead among men and voters aged 18-34. Other parties, including the BC Green Party at 10% and Centre BC at 5%, continue to hold smaller shares of the electorate.
