Bắc Ninh province announces school reductions and releases taxpayer audit list

The Bắc Ninh Department of Education and Training plans to cut public schools from 1,140 to 584 locations, a reduction of roughly 49%, with primary and lower secondary schools seeing the steepest cuts of about 72%. The restructuring, slated for approval by mid‑August, will prioritize consolidating schools of the same level and may involve merging neighboring facilities.

Separately, the Bắc Ninh tax authority has published a list of more than 78,000 taxpayer accounts for verification, joining a similar disclosure in Hanoi covering over 150,000 cases. Taxpayers are urged to review and correct their registration details to avoid penalties, delayed payments, or travel restrictions.
