BC Partners buys near‑50% stake in Swiss pharma firm InfoRLife

Private‑equity firm BC Partners has agreed to acquire a co‑controlling stake of roughly 50% in Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer InfoRLife SA. The purchase is from InfoRLife chief executive Sergio Dusci and the founding families of its parent company ACS Dobfar, which will retain the remaining ownership. The transaction values InfoRLife at about $1.5 billion, although specific financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal is the second investment made by BC Partners' latest flagship vehicle, Fund XII, which is halfway to its €5 billion fundraising goal. It aligns with BC Partners' strategy of expanding across the pharmaceutical supply chain, following earlier healthcare investments in generic drug makers Biogaran and Synthon. InfoRLife, founded in 2002 as a division of ACS Dobfar, produces ready‑to‑use injectable medicines supplied in intravenous infusion bags, a segment seeing growing demand as hospitals seek safer, more efficient drug delivery methods.
