BCC expands MigrationEngine to support openDesk migration

German software manufacturer BCC has expanded its MigrationEngine platform to support openDesk as a target system. This update facilitates the automated transfer of emails, calendars, contacts, and tasks from legacy systems such as HCL Domino and Microsoft Exchange into the open-source working environment provided by the Center for Digital Sovereignty of Public Administration (ZenDiS).

The expansion aims to assist authorities, public institutions, and companies in transitioning to sovereign IT infrastructures. By automating the migration of business-critical communication and collaboration data, the tool seeks to reduce manual steps, custom scripting, and post-processing efforts. The update is scheduled to be available alongside the Smart Country Convention in Berlin in October 2026.
