BCCI AGM leaves Ajit Agarkar's selection committee future undecided

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held its 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM), where no definitive decision was reached regarding the future of senior men's selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar. While Agarkar's current term is set to run until October 2026, the AGM delegated the authority to make final decisions regarding the selection committees to the board's officials.

If the board decides to replace Agarkar, a formal process involving public advertisements and interviews will be initiated. Former cricketer Parthiv Patel has been identified as a potential candidate for the role. Additionally, the board must address vacancies within the junior selection committee.

Regarding the Indian Premier League (IPL), Arun Singh Dhuml and Khairul Jamal Mazumdar were re-elected to the IPL Governing Council without opposition. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla confirmed the meeting was successful and that decisions were made by consensus.
