BCCI seeks applicants for five Junior Cricket Committee roles

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for five positions on its Junior Cricket Committee. The committee is tasked with overseeing player progression and selection for age-group teams up to the Under-22 level, including domestic and international fixtures across all formats.

Key responsibilities for the incoming members include scouting talent, building bench strength, and selecting coaching and support staff such as physiotherapists and analysts. The committee will also be responsible for appointing captains, organizing junior tournaments, and promoting ethical values by addressing issues like match-fixing and betting.

The new panel will replace the current committee, which has overseen successful periods including the Men’s U19 World Cup victories in 2022 and 2026. To be eligible, applicants must be former players with a minimum of 25 First-Class matches and must have been retired from the game for at least five years. The application window remains open until September 5, 2026.
