BCDA and NCIP update census for Clark Advanced Manufacturing Park

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) are conducting an updated community census in Sitio Sapang Kawayan, Capas, Tarlac. This initiative is part of the preparatory stages for the proposed Clark Advanced Manufacturing Park (CAMP) in New Clark City, a project spanning 1,620 hectares.

The census aims to establish a validated baseline of the socio-economic conditions, needs, and concerns of local families and residents within the project area. This data will be used to guide the identification of necessary assistance, safeguards, and support measures as development progresses. The process involves joint surveys, documentation, and the review of existing agreements to ensure that development planning is informed by the actual community landscape.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang stated that the project is built on the principle of shared progress, emphasizing that the early validation of the community baseline is intended to ensure every family receives appropriate protection and opportunities.
