BCDA and StB GigaFactory partner for clean energy in New Clark City

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and StB GigaFactory, Inc. have signed a 12-month Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore renewable energy, energy storage systems, and e-mobility solutions. The partnership focuses on New Clark City and other BCDA-managed developments, including Bonifacio Global City and Camp John Hay.

Under the agreement, StB GigaFactory will perform site surveys, technical feasibility studies, and financial modeling to determine how clean energy technologies can be deployed. BCDA will support these efforts by providing site access, project data, and administrative assistance.

StB GigaFactory, located at the Filinvest Innovation Park, is the first manufacturing plant in the Philippines for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cells and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The company currently employs 500 people, with a target to reach 2,500 employees by 2030.
