BCR launches Travel Hub feature in George app

BCR has launched a new 'Travel Hub' feature within its George mobile application, specifically designed to assist customers traveling abroad. The update, available starting with version 26.26, centralizes various international travel services and information in one digital location.

Key features of the new hub include automated arrival notifications for destination countries, local currency exchange rate information, and a currency converter. Additionally, users can access travel recommendations and purchase eSIM data packages directly through the app. These eSIM options are available in over 200 countries, offering individual, regional, or global data plans that can function alongside a user's existing physical SIM card.

Petruţ Lixandru, Deputy Executive Director of Retail Products and Clients at BCR, stated that the hub aims to simplify international travel by integrating practical tools for connectivity and financial management into a single experience.
