BCsicilia hosts book launch in Montelepre and church tour in Nicosia

On 8 August 2026, BCsicilia held a presentation of historian Claudio D’Angelo’s book *Trinakija* at the Church of Sant’Antonio in Montelepre. The event featured remarks by Rosario Di Noto, president of the local BCsicilia branch, and Alfonso Lo Cascio, regional president, followed by the author’s discussion of his latest volume on the Siculi’s Mediterranean trade routes.

The previous evening, 7 August 2026, a guided visit titled “Il giglio e la pialla” took place at the Church of San Giuseppe in Nicosia. Organized by BCsicilia in partnership with the Diocese, the municipality and the Diocesan Museum, the tour was introduced by Bishop Giuseppe Schillaci and Mayor Anna Maria Gemmellaro and led by museum director Lella Russo. It highlighted the church’s 17th‑18th‑century artworks, including a painted wooden ceiling, organ, sculptures and an early‑17th‑century altarpiece by Nicolò Mirabella.
