BDB celebrates 100 years with orchestral competition

To mark its 100th anniversary, the BDB music advisory board is organizing a musical evaluation competition for concert music. The event is scheduled for December 5, 2026, at the Bürgerhaus Denzlingen.

Targeted at orchestras in categories 3 through 5, the competition aims to provide musical challenges and new developmental impulses. Matthias Wolf, chairman of the music advisory board, stated that while points and grades are awarded, the primary focus is pedagogical. The event is intended to serve as both a status assessment and a catalyst for musical growth, offering ensembles the chance to receive feedback from a qualified jury to identify strengths and potential for future development.
