BDDK addresses rumors regarding credit card limit changes

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has addressed rumors regarding potential changes to credit card limits. While there have been claims that banks might re-evaluate limits based on official social security income records and existing debt loads rather than declared income, the BDDK clarified that no new decision has been implemented.

The agency stated that technical and administrative studies regarding credit card regulations are ongoing in cooperation with banks and relevant public institutions. However, as of the current time, there is no official decision in effect to reduce or change credit card limits.
