BDI-Çair Calls for Resignation of School and Philharmonic Heads Over Flag Show

The Çair branch of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) has demanded the immediate resignation of Teuta Imeri, director of the primary school “Ismail Qemali”, and Mustafa Imeri, director of the city Philharmonic. The party accuses the married couple of promoting a so‑called “Serbian World” after they appeared together at a Zdravko Čolić concert displayed under the Serbian flag. BDI argues that, while citizens may attend any concert, public officials should not use such events to advance Serbian cultural and political influence.

The party says the case illustrates a “model of VLEN governance” in which public posts are divided within families, questioning the meritocracy promised by the coalition. It also urges the VLEN coalition to address the alleged nepotism and the use of public institutions for partisan promotion.
