BDX fraud trial postponed due to former chief's illness
The trial regarding a major economic crime investigation involving BDX, where five individuals are suspected of defrauding the company of approximately 90 million SEK, has been postponed. The proceedings, which were scheduled to begin in Luleå, were delayed after the former BDX chief, one of the primary suspects, submitted a medical certificate stating he is too ill to attend.
The investigation, which spans over 8,300 pages, involves allegations that the suspects issued more than 500 manual orders for work that was never performed or only partially completed. The suspects deny all allegations of wrongdoing. The court has rescheduled the hearings to begin on November 3.
