Be Group to sponsor payment fees to ensure drivers receive full tips

Be Group has addressed concerns raised by drivers regarding discrepancies in tip amounts received through the platform. Drivers reported that the tips they received were lower than the amounts customers had intended to give, with some transactions showing deductions labeled as “payment processing fees.”

Be Group clarified that while the company does not take a share of the tips, third-party payment gateways—such as Napas, SmartPay, MoMo, and TrueMoney—may charge processing fees, typically ranging from 1% to 2%. For small tip amounts, these fees can represent a significant portion of the total.

In response to the feedback, Be Group announced it is preparing a new policy to sponsor 100% of these payment processing fees. This measure aims to ensure that drivers receive the full amount tipped by customers. The company has not yet specified when this policy will take effect or the exact conditions for its implementation.
