Beach Park expands operations through environmental and infrastructure investments
Beach Park is undertaking significant environmental and infrastructural investments in Ceará, Brazil. The company has adopted 50 hectares of the Serra das Almas Natural Reserve for the fourth time. Managed by the Associação Caatinga, this protected area is a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve. This initiative aims to protect biodiversity, including endangered species like the maned wolf and armadillo, while mitigating climate change by an estimated 13.3 thousand tons of CO2 annually.
In parallel, Beach Park is investing R$ 36 million to construct a high-voltage substation in Porto das Dunas, Aquiraz. The project is funded equally by the company and the Government of Ceará. This infrastructure upgrade will transition the complex from a medium-voltage network to a high-voltage one, increasing energy reliability and freeing up capacity for other regional developments.
Additionally, the group is expanding its hospitality footprint with the launch of the Ohana Beach Park Resort. This R$ 150 million project is the company’s fifth hotel in the region and is expected to create 230 permanent jobs, increasing the complex’s total hotel capacity by 40%.
