Beach Soccer festivals in Italy champion inclusion and sustainability
On 15 July 2026 the Lido Adriatico di Siponto in Manfredonia hosted “Beach Soccer and Inclusion: the Power of Standing Together Beyond Mental Borders”. Organized by ANPIS Puglia together with dozens of local disability and community groups, the day featured beach soccer, beach tennis, yoga, foosball and music to show that participation of people with disabilities should be a normal part of community life.
Earlier in the week, the Poule Scudetto of the Serie A beach‑soccer league turned Praia a Mare in Calabria into a sports and environmental arena. Ten teams competed for a Final‑Eight spot while Plastic Free Onlus and the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti used the event to promote beach clean‑up, waste‑reduction and sustainable behaviour, with statements from regional LND president Saverio Mirarchi and Mayor Antonino De Lorenzo.
Both festivals used beach‑soccer as a platform to foster social inclusion and environmental awareness in Italian coastal communities.
