Beach Tennis Copa Lindeira crowns regional champions in Guaíra, Brazil

The inaugural Copa Lindeira de Beach Tennis Itaipu regional final was held on Sunday, 26 July 2026, in Guaíra, Brazil. Athletes who qualified from municipal stages in twelve neighboring municipalities competed for the Open men's and women's titles.

In the men's final, the duo Gabriel Becker Martelli and Murilo Almeida Gasparotto of Foz do Iguaçu defeated the Guaíra pair Lucas and Gustavo to win the championship and a R$ 2,000 prize. In the women's final, Adah and Andrea from Santa Helena overcame Joyce and Kelly of Marechal Cândido Rondon, also receiving R$ 2,000. Runners‑up in each category earned R$ 1,000.

The tournament is part of the Esporte e Cultura Itaipu program, a partnership between Itaipu Binacional and the Council of Development of the Lakeside Municipalities. Mayor Gileade Osti highlighted the event’s role in fostering regional integration through sport, while coordinator Zanoni Lucas da Silva called it a historic moment for local beach tennis.
