Beam Global to acquire drone tech firm ScoutDI for $24 million

Beam Global has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ScoutDI, a drone technology company, for approximately $24 million. The deal, which will be paid through a combination of cash and Beam common stock, is expected to close in November 2026.

Through this acquisition, Beam Global aims to expand its portfolio into drone systems and AI-enabled software for industrial and defense applications. ScoutDI specializes in drone systems and proprietary AI-enhanced software designed for confined and hard-to-reach industrial environments. Following the transaction, Beam Global plans to manufacture ScoutDI’s drone systems at its existing facilities in the United States and Europe.
