BeamNG.drive launches version 0.39 update with graphics overhaul and new rally mode

BeamNG.drive released a major version 0.39 early‑access patch on 29 July 2026 for PC, marking its first update in nearly eight months. The update introduces a graphics and lighting overhaul, adding sharper visuals, a new shadow system, volumetric clouds, HDR optimisation, physically‑based night sky rendering and realistic vehicle light patterns, as well as enhanced lighting for the West Coast USA level.

A redesigned user interface and expanded photo mode improve usability, offering presets, a flash feature and motion‑capture blur effects, plus a tutorial for free‑roam. The content roster expands with the new Cherrier Ardente car, a rally‑styled vehicle with 19 configurations, and the NGRC Rally Utah 2026 event, a 30 km gravel rally course.

Development of a PlayStation 5 version continues, aiming for a 2026 release, while PC players can immediately access the new features.
