Romania reports multiple wildlife encounters and bear attacks

Romania is experiencing a series of incidents involving wildlife entering residential and tourist areas. In Maramureș, two men were hospitalized with bites and wounds to their limbs following an attack by what authorities believe was a bear cub in Borșa.

Other reported wildlife encounters include a bear damaging a vehicle's rear bumper on the Transfăgărășan road, a bear sighting in Bazna, and a bear alert in Dâmbovița that triggered RO-ALERT notifications. Additionally, a herd of wild boars was observed in a residential neighborhood in Cluj-Napoca, causing concern among local residents.

Authorities continue to advise the public to maintain distance from wild animals, avoid feeding them, and report sightings immediately via emergency services.
