Osman A. linked to six killings across Adana districts
Four separate shootings took place in Adana within a 24‑hour period, affecting the districts of Seyhan, Yüreğir, Ceyhan and Çukurova. Six people were killed, three of them women. Identified victims include Reyhan Acar (24), Hatice Mine K. (40), Yusuf Erdem (29), and in the Çukurova incident Semra Yılmaz (44), Ali Can Demir (25) and Sinan İlbey (28).
The primary suspect in the Çukurova attack is identified as Osman A. (also referred to as O. A.). According to police, he shot Semra Yılmaz after a dispute and then killed Ali Can Demir and Sinan İlbey because they witnessed the crime. Osman A. was located in Yüreğir’s Güzelevler neighbourhood, arrested with the weapon used in the attacks, and is now in judicial custody.
Investigations into the other three murders led to the rapid capture of two additional suspects. The incidents have spurred a large‑scale police operation across the four districts, with authorities reviewing security‑camera footage and employing the city’s integrated monitoring system.
