Bear causes disruption in Cocu, Argeș

A bear caused disruption in the commune of Cocu, specifically in the village of Răchițele de Jos, within the Argeș region. The animal was reported near residential properties around 10:00 PM on a Friday.

The bear entered a household and killed a ram. Authorities issued a RO-Alert message to local residents, advising them to stay indoors, avoid traveling, and stay away from the animal. Residents were also cautioned not to attempt to photograph or feed the bear and to secure their own livestock.

Emergency response teams, including gendarmes, attended the scene to manage the situation and ensure public safety. No human injuries were reported during the incident.
