Bearkat Invitational volleyball season openers

The Bearkat Invitational in Huntsville, Texas, saw mixed results for several collegiate volleyball programs during their season openers.

Cal State Fullerton finished their opening day with a 1-1 record. The Titans suffered a straight-set loss to Sam Houston (3-0) before securing a victory over McNeese. Freshmen Bella Risling and Sofia Shine led the Titans' offense, with Risling recording 21 kills during the sweep of McNeese.

Miami University opened their season with a 1-0 record after defeating McNeese in three sets. Chelsea Williams led the RedHawks with 17 kills, while Holland Van Deusen contributed 19 assists and 13 digs. Lindy Radaszewski recorded a career-best three solo blocks during the match.
