Bears and Packers gear up for 2026 NFL training camps
The Chicago Bears will begin their 2026 training camp at Halas Hall on July 25 for rookies and July 28 for veterans, with public practices starting July 31. The 90‑man roster will feature competition at cornerback, where Kyler Gordon returns from soft‑tissue injuries, and at left tackle, with veterans James Jones, Theo Benedet and rookie Ozzy Trapilo vying for the position after recent signings, including former first‑round pick Jedrick Wills Jr.
The Green Bay Packers are preparing for camp on July 27 and have released a rookie power ranking covering ten of the seventeen newcomers. Highlights include undrafted running back Jaden Nixon, safety Murvin Kenion III, sixth‑round cornerback Domani Jackson, and tight end RJ Maryland, son of former Packers defensive tackle Russell Maryland. The Packers also noted depth concerns in the receiving corps beyond Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden.
